WHAT I S MP3+G

An MP3 +G file i s a karao ke-ba sed fil e forma t that co nsist s of two pa rts, an a udio fi le in MP3 f ormat a nd a
grap hics fi le that d ispla ys on-s creen l yrics . These t wo file s combi ned are c alled a n MP3+G f ile. An MP 3+G fil e
will o ccupy a bout th e same di sc spac e requi red for a s tanda rd CD+G t rack.

The r ecord ing fun ction o n this pl ayer of fers tw o appli catio ns.

1. Re cord yo ur voca l perfo rmanc e in MP3 (C D, VCD) o r MP3+G (CDG, MP3G) f ormat a nd shar e
wit h your fr iends .
2. Tra nsfer y our exi sting C DG’s to MP 3+G for mat.

Wit h a memor y card al ready i nsert ed, all ow the th is play er to pla y a CDG in di sc mode . You
sho uld hea r audio a nd see gr aphic s on your s creen . (Duri ng this t ime, yo u will wa nt to mak e any
spe cial ch anges t hat you w ant, (e cho, ke y chang e, etc… ..)
Nex t, simp ly pres s the “re cord” b utton o n the pla yer or th e remot e contr ol. The pl ayer wi ll re-
sta rt the so ng from t he begi nning w ith you r users s ettin gs appl ied. The re will b e a recor d
per centa ge symb ol in the u pper le ft corn er of the s creen l ettin g you kno w the rec ordin g statu s. Now
you c an begi n singi ng and th e playe r will re cord yo ur perf orman ce.
Now y ou have r ecord ed a trac k and you w ant to he ar it. Wi th your m emory c ard ins erted , press
the P LAYBACK b utton o n the rem ote. A wind ow will o pen dis playi ng all fi les tha t are on th e memor y
car d and mac hine wi ll auto matic ally se lect th e last fi le you ju st reco rd for pl aybac k. The son g
sho uld beg in to pla y displ aying t he reco rded gr aphic f iles on t he scre en too if y ou were u sing
MP3 +G or CDG f ormat w hile re cordi ng. If yo u are usi ng othe r forma t like Mp 3, CD or VC D file to
rec ord you r perfo rmanc e, only a udio( music p lus voc al) wil l be reco rd, but n o video w ill be re corde d.

CDG D ISC RIP PING TO M P3+G FI LES:

This p layer c an also b e used to t ransf er CDG’ s to MP3+ G recor ded.B eing th at an MP3 +G file
onl y occup ies abo ut one ei ghth of t he requ ired sp ace for a C DG, thi s is grea t way to ba ck up you r
CDG ’s and pro tect yo ur inve stmen t. Stor ing fil es as MP3 +G give s you mor e optio ns with y our
mus ic. For k araok e jocke ys and pe ople th at freq uent ka raoke v enues , you can n ow leav e your
CDG s at home a nd only t ravel w ith you r USB fla sh driv e.
1. In di sc mode , inser t the CDG d isc tha t you wou ld like t o rip. Ma ke your s ure
your d esire d memor y card or U SB driv e is also i nsert ed.
2. Go ah ead and a llow th e disc to p lay. Pre ss DISC R IPPIN G butto n on the re mote wh ile the d isc is
play ing.
3. In Op tions , selec t the rip ping sp eed bet ween 1x ( real ti me) and 4 x. You can al so sele ct the MP 3
comp ressi on rate ( bigge r numbe r, bette r sound q ualit y, but als o bigge r file si ze, pag e 10).
