CONNECTING THE CABLES

After you’ve verified the shipping package contents, follow this procedure to physically set up your modem:

1Turn off your computer.

2Connect the cables to the modem rear panel as shown below.

•grey phone cable for the DSL line port

•black cable for the 10Base-T port

•power cable for the modem Power connector

See “Connecting to the Console Port” on page 42 for connecting the console cabling.
