Step 1. | Change directory to the specific platform directory |
| created earlier and run the DataMgr installation |
| script. |
| For example, the commands below go to the hpux |
| directory and runs the DataMgr script. |

| # cd /usr/dminstall/hpux1020 |
| # ./install_dm |
Step 2. |

The installation script prompts you to enter the letter | |
| that corresponds to the component you want to |
| install. |
a)DMFS - Data Manager File System (provides migrating file systems)
b)BFS - Bitfile Server (requires installed SSD)
c)SLD - Service Locator Daemon (must be one per network)
d)SSD - Storage Server Daemon (provides local SSD; requires AMASS)
e)ALL - All of the above

You can select — one, all, or a combination — of components. For example, to install all four components on this machine, enter “e” as shown below:
