You can also choose coffee with an extra-mild, mild, normal, strong or extra-strong strength.

0To choose the required strength, turn the knob for "Coffee strength selec- tion" (Fig 14). The selected coffee strength will be displayed.

The appliance now grinds the beans. In the coffee-making process, the ground coffee is first of all wetted with a small quantity of water for pre-brewing. Once the progress bar is complete, the desired quantity of coffee has also been dispensed. The appliance auto- matically stops delivering the coffee and ejects the grounds into the waste coffee container.

0You can stop the delivery of coffee prematurely at any time, by briefly pressing the key that was previously selected, or by turning the knob for "Cup size" (Fig. 13) anti-clockwise towards the "Espresso cup“ position.

0As soon as delivery is complete, to increase the quantity of coffee, simply press and hold the key for "1 cup" until the desired quantity is reached (this operation must be performed immediately after the the progress bar shows 100%), or by turning the knob for "Cup size" (Fig. 13) clockwise towards the "Mug“ position.

After a few seconds, the appliance is ready for use again and you can make another coffee. The display shows the last coffee setting that was selected.

3If the coffee is delivered a drop at a time or not at all, or the coffee is deliv- ered too fast and is not creamy enough, you should change the grind- ing setting; see „Setting the grinding texture“, page 46.
