4.1.2Manage messages

When a new message comes, a icon will appear on the status bar as notification. Drag down the status bar to open the Notification panel, touch the new message to open it. You can also access Messaging and touch the new message to open it.

Messages are displayed in conversational order.

To reply to a message, touch the current message to enter the message- composing screen, enter the text, then touch .

Touch and hold a message in the message details screen, the following options will be available:

Copy

This option is only available for SMS.Touch to copy

 

current message content and paste it to the Type

 

text message bar of the new message you are

 

going to compose.

Forward

Touch to forward the message to another recipient.

Delete message Delete the current message.

Lock/Unlock Touch to lock/unlock the message so it can't/can

message be deleted if you reach the maximum number of

stored messages.

View message Touch to view details of the message. details

Select text

Touch to select the message text to copy, cut, add

 

to dictionary, etc.

Save message to This option displays when the message is an SMS.

SIM card

Touch to save the message to the SIM card.

4.1.3Adjust message settings

In the message list screen, touch and select Settings.

Text messages (SMS)

Delivery reports Mark to request a delivery report for each text message you send.

Manage SIM Touch to view or manage messages on your SIM

messages card.

Edit quick text Touch to add or edit message templates.

SMS service centre Touch to view or edit your SMS service centre.

Validity period Touch to select your SMS validity period.

SMS storage Touch to choose either phone or SIM card for

location

storing messages.
