Coin-Cell Battery

WARNING: The battery may explode if installed incorrectly. Replace the battery only with the same or equivalent type. Discard used batteries according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Removing the Coin-Cell Battery

CAUTION: Removing the coin-cell battery resets the BIOS settings to default. It is recommended that you note the BIOS settings before removing the

coin-cell battery.

Prerequisites

1Remove the base cover. See "Removing the Base Cover" on page 15.

2Remove the battery pack. See "Removing the Battery" on page 17.

3Remove the center-control cover.

4Remove the keyboard. See "Removing the Keyboard" on page 37.

5Remove the palm-rest assembly.
