Filter Description:
Despite the fact that both drivers are mounted in the same plane and in close proximity in this system type, their orientation results in the acoustic center of the tweeter being farther away. In positions where the component set is far away (such as the rear deck), the listening angle becomes more extreme. This actually results in an increased path length to the woofer, as well as earlier
Although the listening angle is incorporated into the design of these configurations, user adjustment is provided for both woofer and tweeter (WF & TW jumper groups) if further alteration of the midrange characteristic or tweeter level is desirable to suit personal taste. From the graphs below, the effect of the available active jumper settings can be seen.
