NOTE To conserve battery power, reduce the speaker system volume level.

NOTE During battery-only operation, the speaker system automatically shuts down if no audio is detected for a few minutes. This is to conserve battery power. Press the Listening to Your iPhone or iPod button on the speaker system or the Manual background button on the clip-on remote to turn the speaker system back on.

NOTE The speaker system is compatible with the alarm clock and sleep timer features built into select iPhone and iPod models. For these features to work properly, the speaker system must be connected to a wall outlet. When an iPhone or iPod is docked, the speaker system will not shut down automatically, enabling the alarm or sleep timer to play through the speaker system. See the user guide for iPhone or iPod for details on how to access these features.

NOTE During AC operation, if there is no iPhone or iPod docked and no audio input signal is detected for a few minutes, the speaker system automatically shuts down to conserve energy. Press the Manual background button on the speaker system or the Manual background button on the clip-on remote to turn the speaker system back on.
