Spécifications techniques d’Industrie Canada

Ce produit est conforme aux spécifications techniques en vigueur d’Industrie Canada.

Avant d’installer cet appareil, l’utilisateur doit s’assurer que son raccordement aux installations de la compagnie locale de télécommunications est admissible. L’appareil doit également être installé suivant un mode de raccordement acceptable. Dans certains cas, le câblage intérieur de la compagnie étant associé à une ligne individuelle, le service

individuel peut être étendu au moyen d’un connecteur certifié (rallonge téléphonique). Le client doit être conscient que la conformité aux conditions énoncées ci-haut peut ne pas empêcher la dégradation du service dans certaines situations. Les réparations sur un appareil certifié doivent être coordonnées par un représentant désigné par le fournisseur.

Les réparations sur un appareil homologué doivent être effectuées par un service de réparation canadien autorisé désigné par le fournisseur.Toute réparation ou modification effectuée par l’usager, ou tout mauvais fonctionnement de l’appareil, peut fournir à la compagnie de télécommunications le motif d’exiger le débranchement de l’appareil.

Pour sa propre protection, l’utilisateur doit

s’assurer que tous les fils de mise à la terre de la source d’alimentation électrique, des lignes téléphoniques et des canalisations d’eau métalliques, s’il y en a, sont raccordés ensemble. Cette précaution est particulière- ment importante dans les régions rurales.

AVERTISSEMENT : L’utilisateur ne doit pas tenter de faire ces raccordements lui-même; il doit avoir recours à un service d’inspection des installations électriques ou à un électricien, selon le cas.

L’IES (indice d’équivalence de la sonnerie ; Ringer Equivalent Number: REN) est une

indication du nombre maximum de postes pouvant être connectés à une interface téléphonique. La terminaison d’une interface peut être constituée d’une combinaison quelconque d’appareils pourvu que la somme des IES de tous les appareils ne dépasse pas cinq. (Le terme « IC: » précédant le numéro d’enregistrement signifie seulement que les spécifications techniques d’Industrie Canada ont été respectées.)
