About the iTunes Store

Use the iTunes Store to add content to your iPad. You can browse and purchase music and TV shows, buy and rent movies, or download and play podcasts or iTunes U collections.

Many movies and TV shows are available in both standard and high definition. To access the iTunes Store, iPad must have an Internet connection. See “Connecting to the Internet” on page 29.

Note: The iTunes Store is not available in all regions, and iTunes Store content may vary across regions.

Transferring Content

You can transfer purchases you make on iPad to a computer authorized to play content from your Apple ID.

Authorize a computer: Open iTunes on the computer, then choose Store > Authorize Computer.

Transfer purchased content: Connect iPad to your computer. iTunes verifies that you want to transfer purchased content.
