Starting Windows®with TelevisionDisplay Enabled
Thetelevision screen ma y become scrambled during the initial
Windows®logo display. This is only a temporary effect and
yourtelevision screen will be restored within a few seconds.
Duringstart up, your RADEON™ VE will go through a
sequenceof mode settings, during which your televisiondisplay
willremain blank. This process takes only a few seconds and
helpsp rogram the television display.
Using a Monitor vs. Using the TelevisionDisplay
Usingyour television for your computer’s display is ideal for
playinggames, giving presentations, watching movies, and
browsingthe Intern et. However,the display on your monitor
maychange or looked squashed. This occurs because the
displayadjusts to fit the dimensions of your television. To
correct the monitor’sdisplay, use the monitor’s control buttons
toad just its display size and position.
Somesingle frequency monitors may not work with television
displayenabled. If you experience problems when television
display is enabled, disable television display to restore your
monitor’sdisplay.
Adjusting Monitor Display
Thesize ofthe display ony our monitor may be smaller and not
perfectly centered when you have television display enabled.
Theseeffects are caused by the changes required to provide a
properdisplay on the television.
Usethe controls available on the Adjustments tabonthe
Monitor Properties page(accessible by clicking on the
Monitor buttonontheATI Displays tab) to adjust the display
on your monitor only. Click on the Televisionbutton to adjust
thet elevision display only.
