Customer Pre-Installation Checklist

Customers must complete all of the pre-installation tasks before DNM can be installed or upgraded.

1Install or upgrade Windows NT/Windows 2000 platform.

Refer to "System Requirements" on page 24 and the vendor documentation. (See also Understanding pcAnywhere Security)

2Connect the DPA computer’s serial connection to the managed nodes.

3Connect the DPA computer’s TCP/IP connection to the NT/Windows 2000 system through the local area network (LAN) or the wide area network (WAN). Refer to the vendor documentation.

4Verify that the updated PA001 Administration Request form (Rev. 10/01) is completed and faxed to the Technical Services Center (TSC).

Note: After the DNM installation, system administrators can execute the appropriate tasks in Chapter 4, "System Administration".
