Changing The Blade

To prevent personal injury, always disconnect
plug from power source before changing blades.
1. Turn elevation wheel clockwise until the blade is up as high as it
will go, using a screwdriver lift the table insert 1out of the pocket
of the table (Fig. 19).
2. Lift up arbor lock lever 2and slowly rotate blade by hand until
lock fully engages saw arbor and stops rotation (Fig. 19). Loosen
arbor nut 3counter clockwise with the arbor wrench 4provided
(Fig. 20a). Set wrench aside and continue to loosen arbor nut 3by
hand and remove arbor nut 3and outer washer 5. Blade may now
be removed or installed by sliding on or off arbor shaft 13.
3. Assemble inner washer 12 and new blade as shown in figure
20b, making certain the TEETH OF THE BLADE ARE POINTING
DOWN AT THE FRONT OF THE TABLE.
NOTE: The printing on different saw blades are not always on the
same side.
4. Assemble outer washer 5, arbor nut 3as shown in figure 20b.
While lifting up arbor lock lever 2securely tighten arbor nut 3
clockwise with the wrench 4provided. (Fig. 20a).
5. Position table insert in pocket of table so tabs 6 on insert 1are
in slots in pocket of table and push down and secure in place.

Attaching Rip Fence

1. Raise rip fence handle 7as shown (Fig. 21), so holding clamp 8
is out far enough to fit on the table 9 and into ā€œVā€ groove located
on the back of rear rail.
2. Position the rip fence 10 over table 9holding up the front
end, first engage holding clamp 8with rear rail, then lower front
end onto front rail 11 (Fig. 21).
