AUX input connections

Using a standard RCA stereo audio cable, you can connect external playback and recording equipment such as CD players and tape recorders to the rear panel of the media center.

If the equipment does not have right and left output connectors, use a Y adapter to connect it to the media center. Appropriate cables and adapters are available at most electronics stores.

If the component has digital audio connectors (coaxial or optical), you can make digital audio connections to the media center. Refer to “Using digital audio connections” on page 27. With either type of digital connection, be sure to use an analog connection, too.

To connect playback equipment

Connect the AUDIO OUT on the playback equipment to the AUX Audio IN connectors on the media center. Insert the white plug into the L (left) Audio IN connector and the red plug into the R (right) connector (Figure 23).
