Manual transmission

Manual transmission lets you hear the dialling, ringing and

fax-receiving tones while sending a fax.

If it is not illuminated in green, press (Fax).

Load your document.

Pick up the handset of the mac hine (FAX-1840C)/external

phone (MFC-3240C) and listen for a dial to ne.

Dial the fax number you want to call.

When you hear the fax tone, press Mono Start or

Colour Start.

If you picked up the handset repl ace it.

Sending a fax at the end of a conversation

At the end of a con versation you can send a fax to the other party

before you both hang up.

Ask the other party to wait for fax tones (beeps) and then to

press Start or Send key before hanging up.

If it is not illuminated in green, press (Fax).

Load your document.

Press Mono Start or Colour Start.
