6Lightly press down the ring, and then use the
Allen screwdriver (large) to tighten the four
hexagonal screws on the inside of the ring.
Firmly tighten the screws.

Attach the needle plate spacer to the needle
plate.

Preparing the mounting jig
Lower the stopper, and then attach the mounting
jig to a stable surface, such as a desk.
1Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the two
screws, and then lower the stopper in the
direction of the arrow.
1Loosen the screw so that the stopper can be
hooked onto the screw and clamped with it.
2Loosen until the stopper moves.

2Tighten the two screws.
• Make sure that the stopper is firmly
secured.
Attach the mounting jig to a stable mounting
surface, such as a desk.
3Loosen the thumb screw for the mounting jig
to open the mounting bracket so that it is
wider than the thickness of the mounting
surface.
• The mounting brac ket can be mounted
onto a mounting surface with a thickness
from 9 mm (3/8 inch) to 38 mm (1-1/2
inches).
Make sure that each hexagonal screw is
firmly tightened. If any screw remai ns loosen, injuries may result.
