Shooting in Manual Focus Mode

3 Recompose the image and press the shutter button all the way to shoot the image.

• Focus lock cannot be used while the shooting mode is set to Turn the main dial to focus..

• Method 2 is convenient because you can let go of the shutter button to recompose the image.

When shooting through glass, get as close as possible to avoid reflection off the glass.

Shooting in Manual Focus Mode

The focus can be manually set.

Turn the main dial to focus.

*Except in the Manual background , Manual background modes, when the digital zoom is activated or a TV is used as the display.

*Can also be set so that the image displayed is not magnified (p. 159).

The MF indicator shows approximate figures. Use them as a shooting guideline only.

Adjust the focus by turning the main dial until the image appears focused on the LCD monitor.

In Manual background, Manual background or Manual background mode, you can switch between the manual focus, aperture value and shutter speed selection by clicking the main dial. A green A appears at the left of selectable items.

Pressing the Manual background button a second time cancels the manual focus mode.
