 Changing the ISO Speed

Change the ISO speed when shooting in dark places or when you want to shoot with a faster shutter speed. You can choose from the following speeds: Auto, 50, 100, 200 and 400.

1 Press the

button to turn the LCD monitor on.

2 Press the

button.

 

Select * (LCD monitor) or

* (Display Panel)

3 using the C or D arrow on the omni selector.

* The current setting is displayed.

The ISO speed setting menu appears on the LCD monitor.

4 Select the desired setting using the main dial or the B or A arrow on the omni selector.

You can shoot the image right after selecting settings by pressing the shutter button. This screen will appear again, once the image is shot.

5 Press the Manual backgroundManual backgroundManual background button, the Manual backgroundManual backgroundManual backgroundManual backgroundManual background button or click the main dial.

6 Shoot the image.

Higher ISO speeds increase the image noise. To take clean images, use as low an ISO speed as possible.

• Some settings are not available with certain Shooting modes. Please refer to Functions Available in Each Shooting Mode (p. 204).
