Manually Loading Paper to the Position for Printing
After loading sheets, if you select a type of paper in the printer menu with width detection deactivated, you
will need to feed the paper a dif ferent way than usual. Specically , you must manually advance the paper to
the position of printing.
In this case, advance the paper as far into the paper feed slot as possible because it will be printed starting at
that position.
Manually advance paper as follows.
1. When W idth Detection OFF . OK to continue? is shown on the Display Screen , press or
to select Leave OFF and then press the OK button.
If you select W idth Detection ON , change the Media Detailed Settings information for that
paper and use the regular feeding method.
2. Keeping the right edge of the sheet aligned with the extended line of the paper alignment line (a)
on the right side of the printer , load the sheet so that the near edge is aligned with the groove (b)
at the far end of the platen.
3. Check the position of the loaded paper and press the OK button.
4. After a menu for selection of the paper size is shown on the Display Screen , press or to
select the paper size, and then press the OK button.
Note
If a print job received requires paper larger than the selected paper , it may soil the Platen .
