OUTGOING MESSAGE

Change your outgoing message from a remote location.

1Enter 5 on the touchtone keypad to record your new outgoing message for the selected mailbox. You will hear:

5	After the tone,
JKL	begin
	speaking.

2Press 5 when finished.

3The new outgoing message plays. You will hear the remote menu again. Select another option or hang up.

REMOTE TURN ON

If you leave your home or office without turning on your TC-540, you can do so from any telephone.

1Call and let your phone ring 15 times or more. The TC-540 will turn on and you will hear the outgoing message and the beep.

MESSAGE RETRIEVAL WHEN MEMORY IS FULL

If the TC-540’s memory is full, you

I'm full! will hear three short beeps after

your outgoing message. To retrieve messages remotely when the TC-540’s memory is full:

1ENTER your 3-digit remote access code within 2 seconds after the outgoing message begins or during the three beeps.

2Follow the instructions on page 28 for remote message retrieval.

3After listening to messages, press 3 on the keypad to erase them.
