Introduction

The Content Engine 510 and 565 (see Figure 1) are Internet content delivery devices that offer content caching, hosting, content replication, video streaming, and other content-based services. The Content Engine is positioned on the WAN edge between your small business site or enterprise network and the Internet.

This document explains how to install a Content Engine in an equipment rack. It also provides general instructions for installing a Content Engine on a table or workbench.

Before you begin the installation, read the Regulatory Compliance and Safety Information for the Cisco Content Networking Product Series document and the Site Preparation and Safety Guide that shipped with your chassis.

Warning Read the installation instructions before you connect the system to its power source.
