If you install a VIC in both SLOT 0 and SLOT 1 of the router, the ports in each of these slots would be numbered as follows:

SLOT 0—0/0 and 0/1

SLOT 1—1/0 and 1/1

Cisco Router and Security Device Manager (SDM) is a web-based configuration tool that allows you to configure LAN and WAN interfaces, routing, Network Address Translation (NAT), firewalls, VPNs, and other features on your router.
