To upgrade to the Cisco MeetingPlace Audio Server Release 5.2 DVD-ROM, you need the following tools and equipment:

•Computer with terminal emulation software installed

•DB9-female-to-DB9-female null-modem cable

•Phillips #2 screwdriver

•ESD protection

•Small flashlight

•Blank diskette

•Releasable cable tie

To upgrade to the Cisco MeetingPlace Audio Server Release 5.2 DVD-ROM, perform the following procedures in the order shown:

•Saving the License Keys, page 3

Saving the License Keys

To save the license keys, perform the following steps:

Step 1 By using the null-modem cable, connect the laptop to the COM1 service port on the front of the Cisco MeetingPlace 8112.

Step 2 Through a Telnet session or HyperTerminal, log in as a technician.

The tech$ prompt appears.

Step 3 Insert a blank disk into the floppy disk drive.
