speed limit: establishes a maximum rotary speed, beyond which there will be no change in volume whatsoever; the knob’s input will be ignored completely until it is first stopped, and then rotated at a slower speed.

reset defaults: if after experimenting with various settings you decide you prefer it the way it operated as it came from the factory, pressing this button will restore the factory default settings. So feel free to experiment – you can always return to the original settings.

Each input on your preamplifier can be customized in several ways to enhance either the performance or the ease of use of the system. A quick look at the input menu and submenus gives you an overview of what is possible:

in use determines whether the selected input is displayed on the main input selection screen, and whether it is included in the rotation of inputs cycled through from the remote control’s input selection buttons.

name provides a way to customize the names of the inputs as displayed on the main input selection screen. For example, you might want to name your Bal 1 input “CDP-100” for the Classé CD player you might have connected to that input. To do so, use the four buttons along the bottom of the input name menu to change the default name of any given input to something more specific to your system.
