Mode Functions

ChannelScan •
YourmicroTALK®radio can automatically scan channels.
Toscan channels:
1.Press the Mode button until the
Scanicon and the channel numbers
flashon the display.
2.Press the Channel Up or Channel Down
buttonto begin scanning channels.
Theradio ignores specific privacy
codeswhile scanning channels.
TheScan icon will continue to be displayed
whenscan is on. Your radio will continue to
scanall channels and stop if an incoming
transmissionis detected. Your radio will
remainon that channel for 10 seconds.
Whilesetting channel scan, if you do not
pressany buttons for 15 seconds, your radio
willautomatically return to Standby mode on
thechannel or channel/privacy code displayed
beforeyou entered mode functions.
Tode-program a memory location:
1.Press the Mode button until the
Memoryicon and the memory location
flashon the display.
2.Press the Channel Up or Channel Down
buttonto select the memory location
(0through 9).
Ifa location has been programmed
before,its associated channel/privacy
codewill be shown on the display.
3.Press the Lock/Enter button. The channel
numberswill flash on the display.
4.Press the Channel Up or Channel Down
buttonto select Channel 0.
5.Choose one of the following:
a.Press the Lock/Enter button to enter
thechannel/privacy code in the selected
memorylocation and return to the
beginningof memory location options.
b.Press the Mode button to
enterthe channel/privacy code in
theselected memory location and
proceedto other functions on the
channel/privacycode displayed
beforeyou entered mode functions.
Whilede-programming a memory location,
ifyou do not press any buttons for 15 seconds,
yourradio will automatically return to Standby
modeon the channel/privacy code displayed
beforeyou entered mode functions.
