10Memory Locations •
YourmicroTALK®radiohas 10 Memory Locations for storing
yourmost frequently used channels and channel/privacycode
combinations.These Memory Locations can be selected individually
orcan be scanned. (See page 21 for memory location scan.)
Toprogram a memory location:
1.Press the Mode button until the
Memoryicon and the memory location
flashon the display.
2.Press the Channel Up or Channel Down
buttonto select the memory location
(0through 9).
Ifa location has been programmed
before,its associated channel/privacy
codewill be shown on the display.
3.Press the Lock/Enter button to enter
anew memory location or edit an already
programmedmemory location. The channel
numberswill flash on the display.
4.Press the Channel Up or Channel Down
buttonto select a channel (1 through 22).
5.Press the Lock/Enter button.
TheCTCSS icon and privacy code
numberswill flash on the display.
VoiceActivatedTransmit(VOX) •
InVOX mode, your microTALK®radio can be used “hands-free,”
automaticallytransmitting when you speak. You can set the VOX
sensitivitylevel to fit the volume of your voice and avoid
transmissionstriggered by background noise.
Toturn VOX mode on or off:
1.Press the Mode button until the VOX icon
flasheson the display. The current on or
offsetting is displayed.
2.Press the Channel Up or Channel Down
buttonto turn VOX on or off.
3.Choose one ofthefollowing:
a.Press the Mode button to enter the
selectedon or off setting and proceed
toother functions.
b.Press the Lock/Enter button to enter
theselected on or off setting and return
toStandby mode.
Toset VOX sensitivity:
1.Press the Mode button until the VOX icon
flashesand the current sensitivity level
isdisplayed.
Thecurrent sensitivity level is displayed
withletters “LE” and a Number 01
through05, with Number 05 being the
mostsensitive level and Number 01
beingthe least sensitive level.
2.Press the Channel Up or Channel Down
buttonto change the setting.
3.Choose one of the following:
a.Press the Mode button to enter
theselected setting and proceed to
otherfunctions.
b.Press the Lock/Enter button to
enterthe selected setting and return
toStandby mode.
