Forcharging microTALK®radio(s) in desktop
charger:
1.Insert radio(s) into desktop charger as shown.
2.Insert round connector of 120-volt adapter
intojack on back of charger.
3.Plug 120-volt adapter into electrical outlet.
Ifcharging light is not on, check position of radio. Radioshould be
upright.The charge indicator light will stay on as long as the radio
isin the charging well and the battery pack is charging. After the
batterypack is fully charged, the charge indicator light will turn off.
Itnormally takes about 15hours to fully recharge battery pack.
Batterypack will not be damaged if they stay in the charging well
longerthan that.
NOTE
Tocharge a single radio, you can bypass the desktop
chargerand simply insert the wall adapter’s round
connectordirectly into the speaker/microphone/charge
jacklocated on the top of the radio.
Useonly the supplied rechargeable batteries and charger for
rechargingyour Cobra microTALK®radio.
Cobrarecommends your radio is turned off while being charged.
Turningon Your microTALK®Radio
Pressand hold the Power button until you
heara series of audible tones indicating the radio
ison.
YourmicroTALK®radio is now in Standby
mode,ready to receive transmissions. The radio
isalways in Standby mode, except when the
Talk,Call,Modeor Power buttons are pressed.
BatteryLow
Whenbattery power is low, the Battery Low icon
willblink. Your batteries should be recharged.
AutoBattery Save
YourmicroTALK®radio has a unique circuit
designedto extend battery life. If there are
notransmissions for 10 seconds, the radio will
automaticallyswitch to Battery Save mode and
thePower Saver icon will flash in the display.
Thiswill not affect the radio’s ability to receive
incomingtransmissions.
CommunicatingwithAnother Person
1.Press and hold the Talk button.
2.With the microphone about 2 inches
(5cm) from your mouth, speak in a
normalvoice.
3.Release the Talk button when you are
finishedtalking and listen for a response.
Youcannot receive incoming calls while
pressingthe Talk button.
Bothradios must be tuned to
thesame channel/privacy code
tocommunicate.
