Technician Notes

Because of the complexity of the individual boards and subassemblies, the user should not attempt to make repairs at the component level or modifications to any printed circuit board. Improper repairs can create a safety hazard. Any indications of component replacement or printed circuit board modifications may void any warranty.

Serial Number

When requesting information or ordering spare parts, you should provide the Notebook serial number to Compaq. The serial number location is underneath the Notebook.
