NOTE 1: To mix Wide-Ultra or Fast-Wide SCSI hard drives with Fast SCSI-2 devices (hard drives, tape drives, or SCSI CD- ROMs) internally, attach the two device wide terminated cable to the wide connector on the controller. Attach 68-50 pin adapter on the Fast SCSI-2 devices. Order Option Kit # 212055-001.

NOTE 2: The SMART-2/P and SMART-2DH Array Controller Option Kit include the proper 68-50 pin adapter for use with Fast SCSI-2 Non Hot-Plug Hard Drives.

IMPORTANT: All Hot-Plug Hard Drives are installed in the hot-plug drive cage only. All non hot-plug hard drives are installed in the removable media bays only. The 4/8 DAT drive, 4/8 SLR drive, 12/24 DAT drive, 15/30-GB DLT drive, 20/40-GB DLT drive, 35/70-GB DLT drive and SCSI CD-ROM drive are installed in removable media bays only.
