This instrument has a built-in automatic stop and the tape mechanism will stop playing or
recording and shut off when it has reached the end of the tap e.
MANUAL STOP
The tape player can be stopped manually by pressing th e Cassette STOP/EJECT Button.
TOPL AY A CASSETTE TAPE
1. Open the Cassette Door by pressing the Cassette STOP/EJECT Button (in some
cases, you may have to press the Cassette STOP/EJEC TB utton twice since this
button has combined functions of stop and eject).
2. Insert the cassette, with the exposed tape facing down wards, into the tracks in the
Cassette Door - the full reel or spool must be on the rig hts ide.
3. Close the Cassette Door.
4. Check the position of the FUNCTION Swi tch to make sure it is in the TAPE
position.
5. Press the Cassette PLAY Button.
6. Adjust the VOLUME Control to your listening prefere nce.
7. To stop the tape manually, press the Cassette STOP /EJECT Button.
8. To remove the cassette, press the Cassette STOP/EJECT Button again a nd the
Cassette Door will open.
CAUTION: SIDE A SIDE B
The automatic stopping mechanism may not operate dur ing playback of tape
when set is using batteries if the batteries are weak.
Do not leave any tape buttons down when set is not in use, or else the pinc h
rollercould be damaged.
AUTOMATIC LEVEL CONTROL (ALC)
This set has the latest Automatic Level Control circuitry, there fore, it is not necessary to
adjust the VOLUME Control when record ing. This circuit automatically records at the
correct level and prevents over loading .
NOTE: While recording you may adjust the VOLUME Control as you desire without
affecting the recording operation.
TO RECORD FROM THE BUILT-IN RADIO
7. Follow the instructions in TO PLAY THE RADIO (slide the FUNCTION Switch to
RADIO position).
8. Load the cassette tape into the Cassette compartment ( full reel on the right side).
9. Tune into the station you want to record, press the Cassette RECORD button and
cassette PLAY button both at the same time. Both buttons should remain in their
depressedpositions when released.
10. You are now recording from the Built-in Radio and the r ecording process will
automatically stop at the end of the tape.
11. To stop the recording manually, press the Cassette STO P/EJECT button.
12. When you want to play the cassette tape after recording , press Cassette REWIND
button, then press the Cassette PLAY butto n. Ad just the VOLUME control to
comfortable level.
TO RECORD FROM COMPACT DISC
1.Load the cassette tape into the Cassette Door (full ree lon the right).
2.Load the compact disc and close the CD/Mp3 Doo r.
3.Set the FUNCTION Switch to CD/Mp3 position.
4.Press the Cassette PAUSE button for the cassette.
5.Press the Cassette RECORD and PLAY buttons for rec ord stand-by.
NOTE: When pressing the Cassette RECORD button, theC assette PLAY Button will
automatically go down. (If the buttons do not go down, rev erse the tape or check
record lever interlock.)
6.Start the CD/Mp3 playing by pressing the CD/Mp3 PL AY/PAUSE ( ) button.
7.Press and release the Cassette PAUSE button when y ou wish to start recording.
8.Press the Cassette STOP/EJECT button to stop the recording.
9.Tohe ar what you recorded, press the REWIND Button a nd then PLAY Button.
TO ERASE A TAPE
Simply record any new program, the old program will automa tically be erased. If you
cannot press the Cassette RECORD Button, see RECORD LEVER INTERLOCK
information, or to see whether the tape may reach its en d.

PROTECTING CASSETTE TAPE AGAINST ERASU RE
Allca ssette tapes are provided with tabs which, when in p lace, allow tape erasure to be
performed. If the tabs are removed then the tape CANNO T be erased and the Cassette
RECORD Button cannot be depressed.
Top rotect the A(o r1) side of cassette tape ,break off the A side tab with a screwdriver.
SCREWDRIVER Break the small tab to preven t
erasing or recording
Follow same procedure for B (or 2) side.
NOTE: Music tapes you buy from a store have these remo ved to prevent accidental
erasure.
The tape can be re-recorded or erased, if by covering th e tab holes with plastic tape.
CÓMO GRABAR DE UN DISCO COMPACTO
1. Coloque la cinta de cassette dentro de la puerta de la casetera (con el carrete lleno con la
cinta a la derecha).
2.Coloque el disco compacto y cierre la puerta de CD.
3.Coloque el selector de FUNCIONES en la posición CD.
4.Presione el botón PAUSE (pausa) de la casetera.
5.Presione los botones RECORD (grabar) y PLAY (reproducir) para colocar la grabación en
espera.
NOTA: Cuando presione el botón RECORD (grabar) de la casetera, el botón PLAY (reproducir)
se bajará automáticamente. (Si los botones no bajan, déle vuelta al cassette o revise el seguro
(lengüeta) antigrabación del cassette).
6.Comience a reproducir el disco CD presionando el botón CD PLAY/PAUSE (gura) (reproducir
CD/pausa).
7.Presione y suelte el botón PAUSE (pausa) de la casetera cuando desee comenzar la gra-
bación.
8.Presione el botón STOP/EJECT (detener/eyectar) para detener la grabación.
9.Para escuchar lo que se ha grabado presione REWIND (rebobinar) y luego PLAY (reproducir).
CÓMO BORRAR LA CINTA DE CASSETTE
Simplemente grabe algo nuevo. Lo grabado anteriormente se borrará automáticamente. Si no se
puede presionar el botón RECORD (grabar), vea la información sobre el SEGURO ANTIGRA-
BACIÓN, o verique que la cinta no haya llegado a su n.
SEGURO ANTIGRABACIÓN CÓMO PROTEGER UN CASSETTE PARA QUE NO SEA BOR-RADO.
Todas las cintas de cassette cuentan con lengüetas o pequeñas placas, que cuando están en su
lugar, permiten que se pueda borrar la cinta. Si se retiran estas lengüetas, la cinta NO PUEDE
ser borrada y no se puede presionar el botón RECORD (grabar) de la casetera.
Para proteger el lado A (ó 1) de la cinta de cassette, rompa y retire la lengüeta del lado A con un
destornillador.
DESTORNILLADOR Rompa la lengüeta o pequeña placa para
evitar el borrado o grabación.
Siga el mismo procedimiento para el lado B (ó 2).
NOTA: Los cassettes de música que se compran de una tienda ya vienen sin las lengüetas para
prevenir que sean borrados accidentalmente.
Se puede regrabar o borrar la cinta si se cubre los hoyos donde estaban las lengüetas con cinta
de plástico.
