Beforeandwhile backing,lookbehindand downfor small

Nevercarrychildren,evenwiththe blade(s)shutoff.They may
falloff andbe seriouslyinjuredorinterferewithsafemachine
operation.
• Useextremecarewhenapproachingblindcorners,doorways,
shrubs,treesorotherobjects thatmay blockyourvisionof a child
whomayrun intothe machine.
Toavoidback-overaccidents,alwaysdisengagethecutting
blade(s)beforeshiftingintoReverse.Ifequipped,the"Reverse

Neverallowchildrenorothersin oron towedequipment.
Onslopes,theweightof the towedequipmentmaycauselossof
tractionandlossof control.
Alwaysuseextracautionwhentowingwith a machinecapableof
makingtightturns(e.g."zero-turn"ride-onmower). Makewide
turnstoavoidjack-knifing.
Travelslowlyandallowextradistanceto stop.
Donotcoast downhill.

SafeHandlingof Gasoline
Toavoidpersonalinjuryorpropertydamageuseextremecarein
handlinggasoline.Gasolineisextremelyflammableandthevaporsare
explosive.Seriouspersonalinjurycanoccurwhengasolineisspilled
onyourselfor yourclotheswhich canignite.Washyourskinand
changeclothesimmediately.
• Useonlyan approvedgasolinecontainer.
Neverfillcontainersinsidea vehicleoron a truckor trailer bed
witha plasticliner.Alwaysplacecontainerson thegroundaway
fromyourvehiclebeforefilling.
Whenpractical,removegas-poweredequipmentfromthetruck
ortrailer andrefuelit ontheground. Ifthis isnot possible,then
refuelsuchequipmentona trailerwitha portable container,rather
thanfroma gasolinedispensernozzle.
Keepthenozzleincontactwith the rim of the fueltank or
containeropeningatall timesuntilfuelingis complete.Donotuse
anozzlelock-opendevice.
Extinguishallcigarettes,cigars,pipesandothersourcesof
ignition.
• Neverfuelmachineindoors.
Neverremovegascapor addfuel whilethe engineishot or run-
ning.Allowengineto coolatleast twominutesbeforerefueling.
Neveroverfillfuel tank. Filltank to no morethan 1/2inchbelow
bottomoffiller neckto allowspace forfuel expansion.
• Replacegasolinecapandtightensecurely.
• Ifgasolineisspilled,wipe itoffthe engineand equipment.Move
machinetoanotherarea.Wait5 minutesbeforestartingthe
engine.
To reducefire hazards,keepmachinefreeof grass,leaves,or
otherdebrisbuild-up.Cleanup oilor fuel spillageandremoveany
fuelsoakeddebris.
Neverstorethemachineor fuelcontainerinsidewherethereisan
openflame,sparkor pilotlight as ona waterheater,spaceheater,
furnace,clothesdryeror othergasappliances.
Allowa machinetocool atleast fiveminutesbeforestoring.
