Sharpening Or Replacing the Shredder Blade WARNING:The shredder blade is sharp. Wear leather work gloves to protect your bands.
1, Stopengine,disconnectsparkplug,andmakecertainthatall movingpartshavecometo a completestop,
2, Removethetwoflange nuts(andhexbolts)whichsecurethe hop- persupportbracketto the impellerhousing,Retainthe hardware, SeeFigure10,
3, Pivotthe shredderscreenupwardas instructedunderthe heading Cleaning the Reduction Chamber,
4, a, Removesix flangenutswhichsecurehopperinletguideto impellerhousing,SeeFigure11,
•Carefullyseparatethe hopperassemblyfromthe impeller housingandset it aside,
,Inserta pieceof woodinto the chutedeflectoropeningto
stabilizethe impellerandpreventit fromrotatingwhenremoving the shredderblade,
b, Removethe two internalhexscrews,hexlocknuts,and lock washerswhichsecurethe shredderbladeto the impeller,See Figure11,
NOTE:Usea3/16" hexkey(Allen)wrenchon theoutsideof the shredderbladeanda 1/2" box(orsocket)wrenchon the insideof the shredderblade,HoldtheAllenwrenchstationaryandrotatethe box (orsocket)wrenchto loosenthe nut,
c, Removethe hexbolt,lockwasher,and flatwasherto completely freeshredderblade,SeeFigure11,
