of approximately 30° (see Fig. 8).
This saw produces hot chips, not
sparks, when cutting metal.
It is recommended that you wear a
face shield over safety glasses to
protect your face,
FEED SPEED

F,0.

Feedspeed is how quickly you push the saw blades through the material being cut,
The correct feed speed is totally determined by the hardness and the thickness of
the material being cut,
IMPORTANT: Feeding mustALWAYS be done withthe blades perpendicular tothe
planeof the workpiece (See Fig. A). Feeding at an angle can burn the blade and
damagethe blade teeth (See Fig. B).
Selecting the correct feed speed Is important.
If the feed speed Is tooslow:
1.The blades will onlypress down on the material rather than cuttingit,
2.The bladeedges glide and wear down the material.
3.A poor cut willresult andcause excessive wear onthe blades
If the feed speed Is too fast:
1.There is a definite riskthatthe cut mFghtsplitand the splintered openingof the cut
winnot besufficientto divert the woodshavings.
2.A poor cut will resultwith a significantdischargeof wood shavingson the lower
sideof the cut.
