•Make sure that the dishwasher has been properly installed and grounded by a qualified installer according to the accompanying installation instructions. Have the installer show you the location of the electrical outlet or circuit breaker and the water supply valve so that you know where and how to turn off power and the water supply.
•To prevent child entrapment, always remove the door from an old dishwasher when removing it from service. Leave the racks in place. Cut the prongs off of the power cord. Cut off the power cord completely and discard.
