Loading Your Dishwasher

warning

Place sharp objects in the silverware basket or knives in the knife stand (see page 6).

If it is not possible to load sharp objects in the silverware basket, load them with the sharp end toward the back of the dishwasher. Locate these items where they will not damage the door seal or cause personal injury.

When loading the silverware basket, insert all sharp or pointed objects with the handles up.

caution

Do not wash plastic items unless they are marked “dishwasher safe.” Always check the manufacturer’s recommendation before washing plastic items that are not marked.

important

If the load will sit for a while before washing, run the Rinse and Hold cycle to reduce the chance of food hardening. Doing so will also reduce the risk of acidic foods damaging metal surfaces.
