With the installation of a second processor Slot 2 SEC cartridge in the second- ary Slot 2 SEC cartridge connector on the system board, the computer becomes a dual-processing system. The second processor must be the same type and frequency as the first processor. To take advantage of two proces- sors, dual-processing systems must have multiprocessing operating systems, such as the Microsoft ®Windows NT®4.0 operating system.

The Dell Precision 610 mini tower systems offer advanced expansion sub- systems that can support a mixture of traditional ISA expansion cards (called legacy cards), Plug and Play ISA expansion cards, PCI expansion cards, and a 2X AGP card. The operating system or the ISA Configuration Utility (ICU), included with the system, provides a means of avoiding resource conflicts that might arise from such an arrangement.
