Replacing the Hard Drive

1Follow the instructions in "Before You Begin" on page 9.

2Remove the new hard drive from its packaging.

Save the original packaging for storing or shipping the hard drive.

3Place the hard drive in the hard-drive bracket.

4Replace the four screws that secure the hard drive to the hard-drive bracket.

5Place the hard-drive assembly on the system board.

6Slide the hard-drive assembly to connect it to the system-board connector.

7Replace the two screws that secure the hard-drive assembly to the system-board.

8Follow the instructions from step 6 to step 16 in "Replacing the System Board" on page 67.
