Replacing the System Board

Procedure
1Slide the keyboard cable into the keyboard-cable connector on the system board
and press down on the connector latch to secure the cable.
2Align the screw holes on the system board with the screw holes on the palm-rest
assembly.
3Replace the screws that secure the system board to the palm-rest assembly.
4Connect the touchscreen cable to the system board.
5Connect the display cable to the system board.
6Slide the touchpad-cable and keyboard-backlight cable into the connectors on the
system board and press down on the latch to secure the cables.

Entering the Service Tag in BIOS

1Turn on the computer.
2Press <F2> during POST to enter the system setup program.
3Navigate to the main tab and enter the service tag in the Service Tag Setting field.
