Getting Started

•Thebattery capacityis degraded if the batteryis

storedfor long periodswhile fully charged.If

longterm storage is required,store at half

capacity.

Powering On and Off

Topower your phone on:

Pressp.

Asyour phone connects tothe network, you will

see a connecting message. Whe nt he idle screen

appears,the phone is readyto use.

Topower your phone off:

Pressand hold p.

Activating Service

Thefirst time you poweron your phone, your

serviceis activated.

Asc reen then appears promptin gy ou to select Ok

toupdate your browser information.This screen

will only appear during in itial activation. See

“Enabling Security”.

Enabling Security

You must enable security the firs tti me you power

onyour phone or within20 days of first activationof

yourphone.

1PressAunder Ok.

Note:If you pr ess AunderLater, theidle

screen will appear. The next time you

select Net from the main menu, you will

bepromptedto enable securitybefore you

canuse Nextel Online services.
