Setting the GPS PIN Security Feature

Toprevent your GPS privacysettings from being
alteredwithout your knowledge,your GPS privacy
optioncanbeprotectedbyaPIN.
Whenyou receive your phone,the GPS security
featureisturnedoff,soyoudonothavetoentera
GPS PIN to access your GPS privacy options. If
youturn this feature on,you will be required to
entera GPS PIN to access your GPSprivacy
options.
Toturn the GPS Enabled securityfeature on or off:
1Fromthe main menu, select Settings >
Security> GPSPIN .
2Scrollto Onor Off.
3PressAunder Select.
4Enter the current GPS PIN.
Note:When you r eceive your phone, your GPS
PINis 0000.
5PressAunder Ok.
Toc hange your GPS PIN :
1Fromthe main menu, select Settings >
Security > Change Password > GPS PI N.
2Enter the current GPS PIN.
Note:When you r eceive your phone, your GPS
PINis 0000.
3PressAunder Ok.
4Enter the new 4- to 8-digit GPS PIN.
5PressAunder Ok.
6Enter the new 4- to 8-digit GPS PIN to confirm.

Using GPS with Map Software
Youcan use the GPS featureof your phone to
provideapproximate locationdata to a laptop
computer or similar devi ce that is running
interactivemap softwaresuch as that made by
DeLorme or Microsoft. This way,i f your phone has
goodaccess to GPS signals,your approximate
positionon a map can be made available as you
travel in a vehicle.
Todo this, connect yourphone to your laptop (or
otherdevice) with a datacable and set your phone
totransmit data(see “Getting Started”on page 88).
