SMS Messages

ShortMessage Service(SMS) messages are short

textmessages, also calledtext and numeric

messages. You can send SMS mes sages through

anyemail account o r on www.nextel.com.

Yourphone receives SMS messagessent to its

SMSaddress, but does not send SMS messages.

Yourphone's SMS addressis your

PTN@page.nextel.com.

Ifyour phone is poweredoff when you receive a

message,your phone notifiesyou the next time

youpower it on. If you are out of your coverage

area,your phone alertsyou when you return to

yourcoverage area.

Yourphone attemptsto deliver thesemessages for

upto 7 days.

Receiving a Message

Whenyou receive a text andnumeric message,

New Text Message appears o n the display.

Toview the message:

3Tokeep the messa ge, press Aunder Save.-or-

Tode lete the message, scroll to the en d of the
