Clean the external surfaces of th e radio product
withadampcloth,usingamildsolutionof
dishwashing detergent and w ater. Some
householdcleaners may containchemicals that
couldseriously damage the radioproduct. Avoid
the use of any petroleum-based s olvent cleaners.
Also, avoid applying liquids dire ctly on the radio
product.

instructions.
•Beforeusingany battery or battery charger,read
allt he instructions for and ca utionary markings
on(1 ) the battery, (2) the battery charger, which
mayinclude a separatewall-mounted power
supply or transformer, and (3) the radio pr oduct
using the battery.
•Do not expose any battery charge rto w ater,
rain, or snow as they are des igned for indoor or
in-vehicle use only.
•Toreducethe risk of damage to the cord or plug,
pull by the plug rather than the cord when y ou
disconnectthe batterycharger from the power
source outlet.
•Do not operate any battery charg er with a
damagedcord or plug — replacethem
immediately.
•Batterychargers may becomewarm during
operation,but not hot. If it becomeshot to the
touch, unplug it from the power outlet
immediately and discon tinue its use.
•Useof a non-recommendedattachment to a
battery charger may result in a risk o f fire,
electric shock, or injury to per sons.
•Makesure the battery chargerpower cord is
locatedso that it willnot be stepped on, tripped
over,o rs ubjected to damage or stress.
•Anextension cord shouldnot be used with any
batterycharger unlessabsolutely necessary.
Useof an improper extensioncord could result
ina risk of fire an del ectric shock. If an extension
cordmust be used, make surethat:
•Thepins on the plug of the extensioncord are
thesame number, size,and shape as those
onthe plug of the charger.
•Theextension cord is properlywired and in
goodelectrical condition.
Warning:To reducethe risk of injury,
charge only the rechargeable

page3. Other typesof batteries may
burst, causing personal injury a nd
