Phone Basics
Any time your phone is powered on, the dis play
providesyou with informationand options.
The screen shown above is the idle sc reen. The
idles creen appears when y our phone is on, but not
engagedin any activity.

TextArea

Thisarea displays menus, messages,names,
phone numbers, and other inform ation.

Display Options

Two display options appear at th e bottom of most
screens. You select a display opti on by pressing
theoptionkeybelowit.

Menusand Lists

Yourphone’s featuresare arranged in menus,
submenus, and lists.
Toaccesstheitemsinamenuorlist,scrollusing
thenavigation key at thetop of your keypad. This
key lets you scroll up, d own, left, or right. Ho lding
downthe appropriate partof the navigation key
speedsup scrolling.
Inthis guide, this symbol >tells you to select a
menu or list item. For ex ample, Settings >
Securitymeans:
1Scrollto Settingson the main menu.
