Tocancel a location calculationbefore it is
completed:
PressAunder Cancel to return to the Positio n
screen. -or-
Presseto ret urn to the idle screen.
Each time approximate locat ion of your phone is
calculated,the latestlocation information is stored
inyour phone and remainsthere even when your
phoneis powered off. Youwill see this information
thenexttimeyouviewthePosition screen.
Ifyou received a phone callor alert while
attemptingtodetermine your location,the Position
screenwill disappear,but your phone will continue
attempting to determine its loc ation. If it is
successful, the new loc ation information wi ll be
displayedthe next time youview the Position
screen.
Enhancing GPSPerformance
Sometimes the GPS feature of your phone m ay be
unableto complete a locationcalculation
successfully. If this happens w hen you are making
anemergency call, the locationof the nearest cell
towerin contact with yourphone is made available
tot he appropriate emergency r esponse center if
the center has the capability to rec eive such
information.If thishappens when you are trying to
viewyour location on the phone’s display,you will
seea message indicatingthat your phone cannot
accesssatellites.
