Call Alerts
Sending a call alert lets the recipient kn ow you
want to talk to him or her on a Direct Conne ct call.
When you send a call alert, the reci pient’s phone
emitsa series of beeps, or vibrates,and displays
your name or Direct Conn ect number.
Therecipient can:
Answer — begin a Direct Connect ca ll with the
sender
Queue — store the call alert to the call al ert
queue, which is a list o f call alerts
Clear— dismiss and delete the call alert

Sending Call Alerts

1Enter the Direct Connect number y ou want to
send to, as you would when making a Dire ct
Connectcall.
2PressAunder Alert.Ready to Alert appears
onthe display.
3Pressthe PTT buttonuntil Alert Suc cessful
appears on the display.
Note:If the alert is not successful , this may
meanthepersonyouaretryingtoreachis
ona call or has the phoneturned off.

Receiving Call Alerts

When you receive a call alert, yo umu st answer,
queue,or clear it. You cannot receivephone calls
orDirect Connect calls untilyou do.
Toanswer a call alert, press the PTT buttonto
make a Direct Connect call to the send er.
Toqueue a call alert,press Aunder Qu eue.
Toclear a call alert, pressAunder Clear.
Note:The r ecent calls list also stores call alerts
youhave received.They appear as Direct
Connectcalls. Call alertsremain in your
recentcalls list untilyou delete them or
untilthey reach the endof the list.

Using the Call Alert Queue

Whenyou queue a call alert,it remains in the call
alert queue until you make a Direct Connect call to
the sender or delete it.

Viewing Call Alerts
