Batteries

Allbatteries can causeproperty damage and/or
bodilyinjury,such as burns if a conductive material
such as jewelry, keys, or beade d chains touches
exposedterminals. The conductivematerial may
complete an electrical circu it (short circuit) and
becomequite hot. Exercisecare in handling any
chargedbattery, particularlywhen placing it inside
ap ocket, purse, or other container with metal
objects.To reduce the risk of injury,batteries
shouldnot be exposed to fire,disassembled, or
crushed.

Cleaning and Drying Considerations

Usinga leather carry casemay help protect the
surfacesand help preventliquids (e.g., rain)from
entering into the interior of the ra dio product. This
productis not waterproof, and exposing the unitto
liquidsmay resultin permanent damage to theunit.
Ify our radio product interior gets wet, then do not
trytoacceleratedryingwiththeuseofanovenora
dryeras this will damagethe radio product and
voidthe warranty. Instead,do the following:
1Immediately power off the radio prod uct.
2RemoveBattery and SIMcard (if so equipped)
fromradio product.
3Shake excess liquid from radio pro duct.
4Place the radio product and batter y in an area
that is at room temperature and has good a ir
flow.
5Lett he radio product, battery, and SIM card d ry
for72 h ours before reconnecting the battery
and/or powering on the radio produc t.
Ift he radio product doe s not work after follow ing
thesteps listed above,contact your dealer for
servicinginformation.
