Using Settings
Settingscontains manysubmenus that let you
customizeyour phone.

Display/Info Features

TheDisplay/Info menucontrols how the keypad
anddisplay appear:
Backlight — controlshow long the backlight
stayson after you make orreceive a call.
•Clock— controls whether the timeand date
appears on the idle scr een, sets the format o f
thetime and date, and setsthe year.
•Contrast— sets the contrast onthe display.

Language setsthe language that your phon e
displays.

Phone Calls Features

The Phone Calls menu controls h ow your phone
handlesphone calls:
SetLine —sets phone line 1 or phone line 2 as
thea ctive line for outgoing calls.
•AnyKeyAns—If this feature is on, you can
answer calls by pressing an y number key on the
keypad.
•AutoRedial—sets your phone to automatically
redialcalls you makewhen the system is busy.
•CallWaiting—See“Call Waiting”on page 49.
AutoA ns —sets your phone to automatically
answer an incoming call aftera specified
number of rings. When this feature i so n, the
phone answers by connecting yo u to the caller;
itdo es not send the call to voice mail, un less
youare out of coverageor on the line.
•MinuteBeep—causesa beep to sound every
minuteof an active call.
•CallDuration—causesthe durationof a call to
appear on the phone’s display when th ec all
ends.
•TTY— lets you u se your phone with a TTY
