Calls> TTY. This field must say On.
Choosinga Mode
Yourphone supports theseTTY modes:
TTY — You typeand read text on your TTY
device.
•VCO(Voice-Carry-Over) —You speak into your
phoneand read text replies on your TTY device.
HCO (Hearing-Carry-Over) — You type text on
your TTY device and liste n to voice replies on
your phone speaker.
Toc hange mode while not in a call:
1Fromthe main menu, select Settings > Phone
Calls> TTY >Type.
2PressAunder Change.
3Scrollto the TTYmode you want.
4PressAunder Select.
When you make a TTY call, the call begin s in the
TTYmode you last selected.
Tochange mode during a callusing your phone:
1Pressm.
2SelectIn C all Setup >TTY > Type.
3Selectthemodeyouwant.
Toc hange mode during a call using your TTY
device,issue one of the followingcommands:
“VCOplease” — to select VCO mode
“HCOplease” — to select HCO m ode
“HCOoff please” — to turnoff HCO mode
Important:When youare using HCO,the sound
comingfrom your phone speaker may
beuncomfortably loud. Use caution
whenputting the phone to your ear.

Changingthe TTY Baud Rate
Bydefault, your phone’sTTY baud rate is set to
45.45,the baud rate requiredfor TTY calls within
the U.S. To make calls outside the U.S. , set your
TTYbaudrateto50.0.
Toc hange the TTY baud rate:
1Fromthe main menu, select Settings > Phone
Calls> TTY >Baud.
2PressAunder Change
3Scrollto the baud rate for your location.
4PressAunder Select.
