Creating Pauses and Waits
Whenstoring a number,you can program your
phone to pause or wait between digi ts while
dialing.A pause makesyour phone pause for 3
secondsbefore dialing further.A wait makes your
phone wait for your response before dial ing further.
Thisfeature is usefulwhen using voice mail or
otherautomatedphone systems thatrequire you to
diala phone number and thenenter an access
number.
Toprogram a pause:
Pressand hold *until the letter Papp ears.
TheP represents a 3-second pause.
Ifyou store 17035551235P1234,when you select
thisnumber and make a call, your phone dialsthe
first 11 digits, pause s for 3 seconds, th en dials the
last 4 digits.
Ify ou want a pause lon ger than 3 second s, press
andhold *more than once. EachP representsa
3-second pause.
Toprogram a wait:
Pressand hold *until theletter W appears.
TheW means your phone waits before dialing
further.
Ifyou store 17035551235W1234,when you select
thisnumber and make a call, your phone dialsthe
first 11 digits and the n waits. A message appears
askingif you want to sendthe rest of the digits.
PressAunder Yes to dial the last 4 dig its.

InternationalNumbers
Whenstoring a number thatyou plan to use for
international calls, u se Plus Dialing:
1Pressand hold 0for two seconds.A “0”
appears, then changes to a “+”.
Note:The n etwork translates th e “+” into the
appropriate internatio nal access code
needed to place the call.
2Enterthe country code,city code or area code,
and phone number.
