Making Calls
Using One Touch Direct Connect®
One Touch Direct Conne ct sets your phone to call
themost recent Direct Connectnumber on the
recentcalls list, or a Direct Connectnumber you
choose,every time you press thePTT button. See
“SettingOne Touch Direct Connect®”on page 51.
Using Speakerphone
Turningon speakerphonemakes incoming sound
come out of the phone’s speaker in stead of the
earpiece.Speakerphoneisavailable wheneveryou
areonanactivephonecall.
Toturn speakerphone on or off:
Press under Aunder Spkr. -or-
Presst.
Using Mute
Muting calls lets you l isten to incoming sou nd
withouttransmittingsound. Mute is available
whenever you are on an active call.
Toturn mute on:
PressAunder Mute .
Whilemuteison,Unmuteappears as a display
option.
Toturn mute off:
PressAunder Unmute.
Making Emergency PhoneCalls
Yourphone supports emergencycalling.
Emergency phone calls can be mad e even when
yourSIM card is blocked or not in yourphone.
Dial 911 to be connected to an emergen cy
responsecenter. If youare on an active call, you
must end it before calling 911.
Whenyou make an emergency call,your phone’s
GPSEnabled feature can help emergencyservice
personnelfind you, if you are in a locationwhere
yourphone's GPS antennahas establisheda clear
viewof the open sky and yourlocal emergency
responsecenter has the equipmentto process
locationinformation.See “GPS Enabled” on page
81,and particularly“IMPORTANT: Things to Keep
inMind”onpage81and“MakinganEmergency
Call”on page 82, for moreinformation on the
limitations of this feature. Because of the
limitationsof thisf eature,always provide your best
